Look out for these icons on event listings to help you navigate the guide. You can also use the accessibility filters online to find out if your chosen performance meets your accessibility requirements.
AUSLAN INTERPRETED SHOWS
Where this symbol is displayed, shows will be Auslan interpreted. Auslan is the sign language of the Australian Deaf community, providing access for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
OUTDOOR ACCESS
Pathway is outdoors, not level, firm and obstacle free.
GUIDED TACTILE TOURS AVAILABLE
These are audio-described tours involving touch and sound exploration of the elements of a show for people who are blind or have a vision impairment.
AUDIO DESCRIPTION
Audio describers deliver a verbal commentary providing information on actions and visual elements, sometimes via a small transmitter. Users of this service can wear a personal listening device to enable full participation, depending on the size of the group.
HIDDEN DISABILITIES SUNFLOWER
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a globally-recognised symbol for non-visible disabilities. All Coogee Live staff and volunteers have completed training to understand how to support people who wear the Sunflower.
ACCESSIBLE TOILETS
Designed for people with physical impairments and as a safe space for everyone who uses the bathroom.
